Shot Timing and Detection ¶
If a settings section is missing, check the enabled methods and Timing Mode . Use the Basketball settings reference after picture and controller checks pass.
Full Bouncebacks or Meter Not Timing ¶
- Is the game picture moving, and is Basketball running? If not, fix the picture and click Start beside the script name .
- Press and hold your shot button. You start the shot; ZX Vision releases it for you. Do not let go early during this test.
- Using a visible meter? Choose any in-game meter style you prefer and keep its size Large . Enable Meter in ZX Vision and match Meter Type to that style. For 27 , set Meter Color → White ; for other versions, match the in-game color. If ZX Vision does not detect it, run Color Calibration while the meter is visible. You can try another style; no particular style is required.
- Intentionally using No Meter? Missing shot-meter detection is expected. Follow the No Meter settings . Do not use No Meter to hide a visible-meter setup problem.
- Meter detected, but still a full bounceback? Try the L1 / LB remap test . If it starts a shot, mapped input reaches the game, but release timing still needs checking. If no shot starts, recheck the script and mapping, then your output: Virtual Controller test and opening order , Titan Two wiring and bridge , or PS Remote Play connection .
Once ZX Vision releases the held shot, use timing help if needed. If it never releases, send your detection status and output choice to support .
3 Icon Is Not Detected ¶
- In the game, set Customize HUD → Ball Handler Text → Number and Position exactly.
- Enable 3 Icon in ZX Vision and choose Overlay → All . Is 3 Icon Detected now shown?
- No? Check Link Waiting and confirm Link is connected with Sync configured . If detection is still missing, send a game/preview screenshot to support.
- Yes, but shots mistime? Follow the 3 Icon-only Sync and release-delay steps .
Shots Stay Early or Late ¶
- Mostly early or mostly late? Follow the direction for your method . Meter Distance, Meter Size, No Meter, and 3 Icon adjust differently.
- Change one value and repeat the same shot. A 1–2 unit timing-slider change is a useful starting point between games or game modes, not a fixed rule. Use the separate instructions for 3 Icon's Sync starting value and Adaptive Adjustment .
- Alternating early and late? Check picture and connection stability first. Once those work, try optional Adaptive Normalization .
Keep a change only if repeated shots improve. If no clear pattern appears, send support the game mode, method, and feedback rather than changing several settings together.
Sudden Early Shot Glitch ¶
Was timing working before shots suddenly glitched early? When it will not interrupt play—ideally during offense—open the console's Home menu, then return to the game. The button action varies by console; you may need to hold Home.
Test with your current settings. If the glitch clears, keep them. If it returns, use timing help and report when it happens. The Home-menu refresh is not a guaranteed fix.
ZX Vision Link Stays on Waiting ¶
- Have you started Link and entered the game? Do that first. Check the Court row again.
- Still Waiting for court…? In Settings → ZX Vision Link → Gameplay device , choose where the game runs: Console for console play, even when Remote Play is displayed on the PC; This PC for a PC game.
- Console selected? A wrong shared connection is a common cause. Forget the old network connection on the console and set up its wired connection again. Then share it again on the PC : Internet Connection is the adapter with internet; Console Connection is the adapter wired to the console.
- This PC selected? Keep Link running and test in the game. Skip the console network reset.
If Waiting remains, send support your Gameplay device choice and wiring or sharing selections. Use the Basketball ZX Vision Link guide once it connects.
Link will not open or appears corrupted? Antivirus may have removed a file from a fresh download. Follow the shared file-recovery checks , including the specific false-positive checks before restoring anything.
Still Stuck? ¶
Send ZX Vision Discord your ZX Vision version, game/game mode, timing method, detection status, and early/late/bounceback feedback. Include a screenshot and the last check you tried.
For Link issues, add Console / This PC , the Court status, wiring, and sharing-adapter selections. For a picture or controller problem, use the shared support checklist .
